Senior Project Manager (CA and OH)

Project Managers exhibit a strong skill set in product manufacturing.  They are well organized and coordinate our client’s jobs with the goal of flawless execution. PM’s will run, administer and organize all project activities from project initiation (when the opportunity is formalized by a Sales Representative who requests a job number and creates an initial Project Brief) all the way through project invoice request. This position will report into the Director of Project Management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work well within a team
  • Consult with the project management team and develop client PO requests templates.
  • Analyze electronic purchasing data from clients and confirm order accuracy for projects.
  • Analyze Incoming on hand inventory and accurately create average costing reports.
  • Confirm inventory counts and costing accuracy.
  • Manage job to job cost transfers.
  • Provide reporting of electronic shipping data for client fulfillment requirements.
  • Research and evaluate OnQ’s MS Access database, review inventory levels reporting data and provide reports to upper management.
  • Work with OnQ’s Accounting, Project management and fulfillment teams to properly intake, process and invoice orders.
  • Evaluate, identify and correct discrepancies in inventory counts.
  • Evaluate software system efficiencies and implement changes.
  • Evaluate methods of establishing re-order triggers for inventory and develop re-order methodologies to suit the needs of client on hand inventory requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in project management in the design, engineering, or retail sector.
    Relevant educational background, preferably in the fields of design or engineering.
    Experienced with managing the design and manufacturing of products.
    Understanding of common product warehousing, inventory and shipping practices.
    Experience with managing onshore and offshore contract manufacturers including purchasing and cost negotiation.
    Working knowledge of QA and QC practices common to product manufacturing.
    Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods particular to plastics, woodworking and machined and fabricated metal processes.
    Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Superior organizational skills.
    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management tools.
    Travel as required for domestic sales and manufacturing functions.
    PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.

College degree or equivalent work experience
