Converge Retail debuting RFID interactive display, jewelry solutions at NRF

Converge Retail will unveil an RFID-based interactive display platform at the upcoming NRF 2020 event in New York from Jan. 11 to 14. The platform is already being used by brands and retailers to drive customer engagement in-store via the interactive table-based display system, according to a press release..

Earlier platform versions relied on camera-based recognition to display information about products. Moving to an RFID-based system brings significant improvements, including:
•    Elimination of QR codes.
•    Latency reduction.
•    Improved accuracy.

The platform features laterally-sliding, interactive tablets that move with the customers through their shopping journey and serve up rich content with product education, specs, tutorials and reviews that allow for a more informed purchase decision, according to the release.

The company will also debut specific solutions for jewelry retailers, Converge Virtual Try On and Converge Smart Tray.

"The Converge platform is most useful in retail settings where customers require in-depth product information to make educated purchasing decisions. This holds especially true when it comes to people shopping for jewelry," said Jason Seed, COO of Converge Retail, in the release. "We saw an opportunity to introduce a tech-forward approach to jewelry retailers with specialized solutions that enable them to deliver a better shopping experience, and sell more efficiently as a result."
