Production Assistant
The Production Assistant supports daily operations in OnQ’s Akron manufacturing facility, partnering closely with Line Supervisors and the Operations Manager to ensure schedule attainment, line efficiency and accurate data tracking. This position plays a vital role in documentation, system input and process support. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily coordination of production tasks and team support
- Accurately input production kit completion data for measurement and reporting
- Track and support schedule attainment and changeover efficiency
- Support project readiness across lines by managing task lists and work status
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to maintain and update SOPs
- Learn basic use of NetSuite (PO creation) and Smartsheet (task tracking)
- Help document and manage onboarding practices and training tools
Required Skills & Abilities
- 1+ years in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience in retail display or assembly line operations is a plus
- Basic Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn systems like NetSuite and Smartsheet
- Effective communicator and team collaborator
- Detail-oriented and reliable
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, in-office role based in our Akron, Ohio facility. The position requires standing, light lifting and regular interaction with the production floor.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or technical certification (preferred)
