OnQ’s Warehouse Production Manager position involves day-to-day warehouse work.  A Warehouse Production Manager will lead warehouse labor in the assembly of parts and graphic materials, as well as pack boxes and move materials related to store fixture and POP goods. A Warehouse Production Manager will work in a warehouse environment and will be required to follow safety procedures and work effectively with other OnQ employees and temporary employees as needed.

A successful Warehouse Production Manager is punctual, organized and communicates well with the production team to ensure flawless accuracy in assembling parts and packing materials. They must be comfortable with warehouse paperwork as it pertains to the counting and movement of goods within the warehouse. They must also have adequate physical strength to load pallets, unload pallets and move materials by hand as needed to stage, pack and ship the same. A Warehouse Production Manager must understand and work with BOM’s (bills of material) to correctly identify parts required to properly pack out boxes and kits. This position requires effective personal skills to lead others performing warehouse assembly and packing work. Skill level requires general computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office products and e-mail to handle data entry related to production functions, as well as understanding and generating shipping & receiving documentation.

The goal is to ensure that the daily packing, warehousing, palletizing and movement of goods at OnQ is running smoothly and effectively.

This position will report to the Senior Operations Manager – East.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work well within a team
  • Assemble and pack goods
  • Manage the activities of both OnQ employees and temporary employees for assembling, packing, and shipping goods
  • Report counts by master kit and sub-kits type as required
  • Alert management to unsafe conditions in the warehouse
  • Inspect kits as they are produced by the production lines
  • Run machinery required to pack and secure goods, with proper training
  • Work efficiently with staging and preparing packed goods and parts
  • Operate pallet jacks and other banding and handling equipment for the movement and shipping of goods
  • Utilize a computer for e-mail, MS Excel, MS Word and other online reporting programs
  • Direct cleanup activities when jobs are complete
  • Work overtime as needed to handle workload as directed
  • Ensure that production schedules are met and shipments ready for shipping department on time
  • Set new processes and standards for managing temporary-labor, training temporary-labor, setting production/assembly line schedules, and maintaining quality-control standards
  • Demonstrate good safety and housekeeping practices

Required Skills & Abilities 

  • OnQ requires full COVID vaccination as a condition of employment
  • Experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with light assembly, handling printed graphic materials and packing boxes
  • Physical exertion requirements at the “heavy work” level, which involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Experience utilizing computers for data entry and document manipulation
  • Regularly work 8 hours daily M-F with prescheduled overtime as needed

Education:
High school or equivalent work experience

Pay Scale:
$55,000 – $60,000 per year
